Cracking entertainment from when Valverde attacked. Quick-Step not strong enough to protect Almeida, I expected Kuss to stay with Yates but as said above Yates was fantastic today. Big stage tomorrow. Really enjoying the racing this year on GCN+ very impressed.

Brian Smith seems very clued up. When Kämna started his final descent with about 4" advantage he said he would start the final 18 Kms climb with only 2" which would not be enough. The Peloton started the final climb 1" 59' behind.

I'm not that sure what Kamna was doing today....going solo meant he fecked the chances of a breakaway and a stage win ?Brian Smith seems very clued up.
