Volunteer idea for young kids

2 girls (3 & 6) who are fortunate enough not to really want for anything (although we make sure they don't get everything they want!).

Any ideas of volunteering to keep them grounded that kids of that age are needed/wanted?

Cubs and brownies or whatever they are do cleanups in the local park by me.

I was trying to avoid it being part of going to a club each week as there's enough things in their life of that. Looking for something to volunteer to.

A similar theme is if there is a 'Friends of....' something near you, they often do cleanups or community based activities. Might be a park or a pond or something, check the local press.

It was in the juniors, probably about 8/9 year old.

Some of the inmates who were more aware of their surroundings seem to love having kids there to talk to.
This is what I'm finding though. It's hard with kids my age to find something

I was going to suggest visiting someone elderly too. I remember my primary school would send out kids to take around little boxes at harvest and Christmas time, and the kids would chat to them as well. When I was older I remember visiting as part of the school choir too to sing carols with them.

3 and 6?

Respect to you, I would never had considered occupying my two daughters time, with something like this, at that age.
Just a small start to see all sides of the world. I think the earlier you start with most things, the more accustomed they see it as normal life.
