Friere in the GC lead after the crash yesterday, although he could still have won even if the crash never happened. Good to see him there though in his home (country) tour.

Will he keep the jersey after todays stage, I doubt it but you never know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bettini won the stage but Friere keeps the jersey for another day, should keep the home crowd happy as well as Friere himself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
