Waaahaaa those lighter nights are coming

Hi.
Well it's only the 1st of Feb but tonight it seemed a hell of a lot lighter this evening than of late. The temptation was to great to just sit at home so my new bike was pressed into service. 12 miles later I'm back at home and " boy " it has really lifted my mood up ,from just being your typical winter evening to feeling stress free after a rubbish day at work. The roads were dry and it was relatively warm .It was just so nice to see some of our lovely country side instead of the drivel that's on tv. Hopefully this is the start of things to come for the coming year and continue to burn the lard off my 5 chins lol..

It's nice to be able to get out again in the week days..I hate cycling in the dark as I feel quite vulnerable in the rush hour traffic. I may be lucky enough to live in the country but it does have its down sides to with the lack of cycle paths ect. It means your confined to dark roads and it can feel quite daunting cycling along them in fast moving traffic.

I hate the dark full stop. I always slump into a bit of a mini depression on the longest day as I know it's all down hill from there. I love the shortest day though, as it should be around 15 minutes a week after that. Please don't spoil my beliefs with any annoying facts. That 15 minute thing gets me through the worst of the winter.

I'm looking forward to the encroaching darkness (nice phrase, that). Over here, it's still not completely dark until about 9pm, but it's getting dark earlier, and this will speed up in the next several weeks. I'll finally start getting more sleep at nights.

See, I think it's the opposite as my face goes from bright red to purple on the last climb of the day.
