Should be easy, but that time limit is a frustration! Giving up at 85 or was it 84%

Got it first try with 40 seconds to spare so ner.
Wow!
I came back and got 100% after about ten goes.

Anyone else worried that difficulties in challenges like this are indicative of declining mental faculties?

I'm especially bad at short-term memory tests, games like "pairs" and remembering lists. Mrs L has a phenomenal memory compared to mine.

I think people's brains just work in different ways. I'm good at lists and numbers but rubbish at faces and visualisation.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
It's a recognition test, not a memory test. Each letter has three or four options, so you just have to recognise the right one. And quite often the distractors are obviously wrong.

100% with 1:12 spare, and would have been quicker if I'd spotted Bravo more quickly.

It's nice to see Durango get a mention. We went there on honeymoon, it's really rather lovely. We got held up on the way in Silverton by the annual Iron Horse bike race, which was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

I was made aware of Sporcle by a brain-injuries nurse specialist after my....brain injury as a way of re-connecting the neurons disrupted by the bonk on the bonce which was causing some short-term memory loss. I've used it every day since and it has to be said it's a fantastic site and done exactly what it was intended to do. There's tons of things like this available across dozens of different subjects. Pick one to challenge yourself and really go for it!

The position of the words changes each time. This reduces any advantage of having a good memory, but memory is surely some benefit, as well as recognition.
