Hi guys,

I have had my road bike for 6 months now, and I love it.

However, I have some amazon vouchers burning a hole in my pocket, and I don't know what I want to buy?

I have a Cannondale Synapse white/black/red, a couple of jerseys, some bib shorts and bib tights. Helmet, a standard pump on the bike and a little saddle bag.

What things could I buy for max £100?

I was thinking a better pump, or a co2 pump? A better saddle bag? Or better drinks holders, bottles etc. Any other suggestions?

Many Thanks.

Get some spare tubes, always a good investment. Buy stuff that you will need in the future rather than upgrading. If your current bottle holder holds bottles then there's no need to change it, same for the saddle bag; if it does the job then leave it. A couple of extra bottles would be a good idea though.
With that ammount, I'd be inclined to spend it on clothing. And any left over put it towards the new Killing Joke cd!!

Cycle computer
Co2 inflator, these are brilliant
Books on cycling
Get The Flying Scotsman on DVD riveting stuff
The DVD of the Race across America too, again that is just as good

A cycle computer, decent gloves, and spend the rest on jerseys and a good wicking base layer, some leg warmers so you can wear your shorts on colder days / early mornings

Forgot to mention I have an Edge 705 and also some shoes.

I just realised today, but it looks like my pump on the bike isn't for a presta valve?

If I buy a Co2 pump and some spare canisters, would I need to carry a pump on the bike? Or am I better buying both?

Forget Co2, get a Topeak Road Morph pump. I've just binned my Co2 pump and now just carry the Road Morph.
Don't forget, gas leaks far quicker than air, and the recommendation is if you've used gas on a ride when you get home you should deflate the tyre and re-inflate with air to avoid finding it flat next time you get the bike out.
Don't get me wrong, it's extremely convenient, but if you have the right pump like a Road Morph gas is also completely unnecessary, unless you plan on competitive racing, then perhaps the few seconds benefit of gas may make a difference to you.

If you opt for co2 get the capsules from a gun shop from around 50p each up to a £1 depending on size and whether they are threaded.
