Wanted - old-style Kindle

I'd echo this, mine is fine one handed & you can turn the page on screen just by tapping the screen edge just like a virtual button, no big swipe gestures needed.

The paper white screen makes the kindle just so much more versatile and a very literal read anywhere device. +1 to in bed lights out with partner asleep, also sat on a park bench enjoying a gloriously sunny day ......

I traded up from a very basic nook that had no screen light and buttons to turn the pages, as a piece of hardware it looked and acted just as the basic kindle, the ease of use of the paperwhite is so much better.

Mine was £70 2nd hand from CEX with a guarantee. Not a problem at all with it.

Reposting here as I tripped over with the kindle in my rucksac and managed to crack the screen.

So I'm wondering if any other kind soul has an unwanted kindle with a keyboard but not a touch screen that they want to get rid of to a good home. Willing to pay similar price to any found on ebay, plus postage.

I let my daughter have mine but I am 100% certain she no longer uses it, let me contact her & see if she still has it, keep it safe though in a few years they will be worth £££££££'s

I like books too, but there are lots of free books you can get on kindles.... (many turn out to be airport/beach novel quality, but they pass the time!)

She has found it, but no charger, it's that long ago I can't remember how you charged them up, she is dropping it off tomorrow, I'll check it works assuming I can charge & default it.

Brilliant - thanks! No worries about the charger - I have a lead and charger, it's only the screen I buggered up!
They plug into USB ports (or come with a plug with a USB socket), but I think the other end of the cable may be specific to kindle.
Even if you can't charge it up to test it, I'm willing to pay the postage and then whatever we agree on if it does work.
