<start bragging> I don't really commute by bike these days, but had to go into the city centre this morning so went in on my old route. Had a go at a bit of commuter racing...

I can only assume that everyone else was taking it nice and slow and gentle, or that a packed lunch in a pannier slows one down alarmingly.
