Wasp nest - what to do?

A wasp nest seems to have been established under the eaves of our house. How can I get ride of this in the most humane way?

Could I, for example, move it into the garden of the very noisy young people who live next door and who have been making our lives misery by having loud outdoor parties every weekend?

Wait until the next party is in full swing and chuck it over the fence

Done a few of these lately.

Big can of that expanding Builder's foam, spray it all over, leave for a week, then chuck it in a bin liner.

There is no humane way. I get a nest or two pretty much every year in my house. A can of the squirty stuff sprayed on the nest at dusk will do it.
it kills them all, and that is the only way.

Insecticide will kill them, as humanely as there can be a method. Builders foam will seal them in to a slow starving death.

You don't need all that gear. just a can of foam, and a smart set of heels. They go a bit mad when sprayed

Slow starving death? Sounds like what they deserve, bloody wasps.

Just as a side note it's surprising how many double glazed windows have wasps living in them often on double glazed windows there will be a couple of holes drilled into them (not sure what they are for ? ) if your unlucky to have a wasp living in there and have enough patience to wait and watch then you may notice them going about their work.

Noticed it first whilst standing outside my neighbours having a chat and have since noticed it on quite a few windows , mine included !!!!

yes, call your local council, they're supposed to provide this kind of service and when me and the neighbour need them it was a hell of a lot cheaper. Can't remember exactly but definately under £50.

I've got a huge one in my loft . Stuck my head up the other week looking for bike stuff saw this huge football sized oject hanging from the rafters with dozens of wasps flying round it . Penny dropped and i beat a very hasty retreat.

Been sticking my head in the sand since as I can't afford to have pest control deal with it.

I definitely couldn't beat a hasty retreat across 15'0" of rafters in my loft and get the hatch closed in time.

Very, varey carefully chuck a pile of these up there. Close loft. Leave the things to do their work and kill the b*gg*rs off.
