Hi All,

Just signed up to the forum so hello to you all, look forward to some future bike banter.

I've been a keen cycling fan for some years (converted by my in-laws who run a cycling club)...now's the time to get on the saddle for the first time in yonks (25 yrs) and live the dream.

I am looking at purchasing a road bike, so far narrowed down to a Specialised Roubaix Elite or Specialised Tarmac Elite though hear Ribble make some good value bikes. I'd be grateful for any pointers from the forum fountain of knowledge herein on any passing comment on the above bikes or alternatives.

Hi and welcome sorry I can't comment on the bikes you have listed except they all seem to be decent spec's etc,I feel a far better informed member will be along shortly lol.

Like @Ern1e I don't know enough about the bikes you've mentioned to comment, except that I understand they're decent ones. Whichever you pick I hope its a cracker.
