Was this on a bicycle?
I’ve read about it happening with motorcycle engine vibrations and a fix is available for that.

Yes on my bicycle. Still not sure how well the anti vibration mount would work. Road bike tyres are a lot stiffer and lack suspension compared to motorbikes so I’d imagine it gets a harder time although the speeds are much less. For the risk of damaging a phone vs the price of a dedicated cycle computer I don’t understand why you’d risk it

I’ve never considered it a risk thinking the vibration bug was engine caused. Looks like I need to do some research. In the past seven years my quadlock has carried two different iPhones on Road and off road and its never once shipped its load. Ive thought of it as a safe place to carry a phone as I don’t wear specific cycling clothes, no back pockets, and I don’t think trouser pockets are safe with a pedalling action.
i usually cycle alone but on the last group ride I did one Garmin was lost and another jumped off into the path of a tractor. 😮
I use my Apple Watch for tracking rides and other data it can’t fall off. 😀
