My much better half and me made a pact this year not to buy each other presents.

It's a really busy time of the year work wise for both of us, so any stress relief is good.

Now I've stuck to the deal and I hope she does too.

(I made a similar arrangement many years ago with my ex wife,who kicked up on Christmas morning asking for her presents).

In a 'no presents this year' pact it only takes one party to 'crack' and give a gift... for the other party to be left feeling like a complete and utter Scrooge.
