Here for rides.
I bought tlh a return flight to Vancouver, a stay in a nice hotel, and Xtmas dinner at the Four Seasons*. And some pyjamas. If I play my cards I might be allowed a couple of hours on my Todd to go ride a bike. At some point. ;)

*I'll do anything to get out of roasting another chuffin' turkey.

Is that one that cooks fast?
It only takes a moment of planning in the morning .... shoulder of pork, half a bottle of hoison sauce, a little water, a handful of dried chillies - and if you really want to push the boat out - 2 or 3 smashed garlic cloves. Make sure you remember to turn the cooker on! Then you have dinner already cooked when you walk in the door in the evening. You can't have food faster than that.

It was in tongue in cheek reply to the super duper slow cooker post, I know how good they are to use.

Yes, of course. I just decided to post about about slow cooked pork, and your post was the lucky one selected for inclusion.

(I've had two slow cookers die, so given up on them and use a heavy based saucepan and a hotplate on low. )
I used to use a casserole dish and stick it in the oven overnight, but the dish has destroyed itself and the oven in the new house doesn't go low enough. So a slow cooker it is. Now the question is, do we need the one with the pressure cooker function? It is significantly more expensive.
