totally agree , there ought to be more icentives
Interesting idea. I wish some farmer would contract out this work to me, for not growing pineapples, for example.
That would be nice!.. I might add that to my "when I rule the world" manifesto... I might have to drop something else though to fit it in - it's already getting quite long...
I used to get 40p per mile for car use where there was no public-transport alternative, 27p per mile where there was and 15p a mile for using my bicycle.
That wasn't for commuting, but for business travel. As I rode between Departments in London, I could crank up a decent mileage.
I get paid £1 for cycling into work, makes it nice to buy new bibs, tri-suits and stuff with works money
Hardly an over production of pineapples in this country![]()
I can claim 20p for business miles but HR never recognise the code on their expenses form and always pay 45p, the rate I get for my car.I get paid 20p for business miles.
Reminds me, I must put in my next claim !
Really. How's that work then?
I get to 'finish' work a few minutes before t'others, so that I don't hold up the boss when they lock up....that's about it. It makes sense to get some kind of incentive. After all, we cyclist commuters are fitter (generally) than those who come by car, and therefor less likely to throw a sickie.
