Wearing a helmet saved my life

1 - 1 on the helmet front.

I've had a squirrel drop a conker on me. That would have stung a bit if I didn't have a helmet on. Then again, I've also had a bee zooming inside my helmet. That caused a mini crash.

I have had to circulate print outs of pros and cons at work, because of the consternation caused by me going skyclad. From the neck up that is.

So, does anyone have any first hand experience of the consequences of crashing and the difference that wearing or not wearing a helmet might have made?
