I have spent a minutes looking for old posts on this matter, but did rush the search so apologies if this has been covered.
When cycling to college with a depressing amount of books and huuge folders (you know those folders with bits of paper sticking out at every angle, the folders which you fear to tip upside down due to the inevitable waterfall of paper which will emerge from it) I carry them all in a rucksack, as I am unable to (refuse to) fit panniers to my bike (felt z65).
I do feel my back ache towards the end of the 8mile commute. So a number of questions:
Is carrying a heavy bag on the back damaging?
Does being on the drops increase this damage?
Should the bag be higher up, lower down to reduce any damage/ache?
How far do you agree that states rights was the main cause of the civil war? (ok ok....this may be an assignment so I won't be too dissapointed if there is a lack of response to this one)
