There's a new free rain website showing real-time rainfall across the uk - www.RainToday.co.uk. You can search by postcode or location, and zoom right into individual street level

Oh I like that... I just want it to predict as well .. I was out at Avonmouth about 2.30 when it did cloud over although it didn't rain so that would seem to fit with the map. Now to check it over a couple of days to see how it goes.

Could be interesting in seeing whether it would give you enough information to change the start time of a journey.
