web cam problem

Merry Christmas all. With the festive season nearly here our thoughts turn to family and friends overseas. Our computer has just come back from the computer garage(we had a start-up problem). Everything is now fine except the webcam is out of focus, what can be done? Any help before Xmas Day will be very much appreciated 'cos Auntie Grace in Oz is so looking forward to seeing us all!!!!!.

Yup, either dirt\condensation inside the cam (give it a wipe and\or let it warm up properly from its trip to the doctors ) or the thing is dying.

I would bet on the former.

Manual Focus: simply move your chair forward or back

Does the lens have a slider ring around it with a tab that you push round clockwise and anticlockwise? On some cams (not sure about built-in ones), this is a manual focus.

I did realise it had a manual focus but I just wasn't turning enough!!! With a bit of a clean it's now super. Thanks for the replies
