Morning

Blowy after the fog and cold which means... rain incoming.
It's been a very soggy winter so far.

Xmas stuff and cards to do. Meh

First: coffee

Another shift at the Royal Mail house of fun today.

You almost feel guilted into overtime: if I don't sort it, who will?

I'm fairly sure the world would be fine without 90% of the cr@p that's getting sent.

I wonder how many people feel obliged to partake in Christmas.
I personally think that the obscene commercialism has hijacked the essence of yet another hijacking - the Pagan solstice, wrecks any authenticity.

I'm making your life easier by only sending e-cards, WM.

You're also saving a big pile of dosh by not joining in. I'm fine with some extra food and drink and time to do the stuff that I want. The small trade off is hosting in-laws etc.

Morning Peeps,

Working from the cave again today and hoping that today is a bit quieter than yesterday - it was the usual round of people trying to 'chuck stuff over a wall before they go on leave' rubbish. Over the jet lag now and battling with the lergy - coffee should help, but if that doesn't work then cider should do the job this evening.

I'm doubly saving the planet as 1/ I havent sent a single card and 2/ no e-cards are being sent either as apparently some server somewhere stores the data which takes energy to maintain.
Site meeting shortly and a return visit to a shop to return something I bought yesterday which I'd also put on my Christmas list and forgotten about.

Not feeling exactly perky, but at least some sleep was eventually had after a dose of paracetamol at 3.30am. It'll be a day of phlegm and torpor following coffee.

Morning all. Usual stuff with people ducking and diving with odd bits of time off left, leaving us short handed. Xmas excess is officially sorted everything wrapped ready to be handed over. I dont do e-cards and I've cut postage down to about the last 8 or so surviving elderly relatives. Gets less every year. Anyway alls good at the minute.

Damp and cool here. Rest of log delivery put away and one of the delivery crates chopped up, given the number of nails in it there might a nail shortage soon. Need to walk Bertie then think about doing a turbo session.

Suddenly summer here, pretty warm and sunny day. Errands this morning, then began bathroom renovation preparation. Going to take it apart in small sections over the next 6 weeks or so, before builder turns up in early February, allegedly.

A slow walk, but otherwise exercise avoidance due to a serious case of CBA. New powermeter arrives tomorrow hopefully, so that might give me some mojo to get back on it.
