Very dark up here. Could be due to the closed curtains.
After successfully finding sunshine in the kingdom, today's escape from the sodden mire looks towards Angus.
Coffee beforehand.

It looks like the only bright spot is in the North. You've hit lucky.
Sodden mire it is here here indeed.

Car to friendly mechanic today as Porker is getting tinkered on so occupying the space that I could normally use and all 4 axle stands in deployment so i'll have to pay someone to fix my daily. Hmm...

Will give him a hand which will reduce the bill.

Coffee and contemplation.

Morning
Tis very wet here although there seems to be some brightness on the horizon. My cold is still hanging in there and I seem to have swollen glands in my throat. Might take Bertie for a walk shortly.

Chaos around our parts as the gas guys are digging up the main road forcing everyone through a tight housing estate which has a school at the end.
Knowing parents are lazy gits I walked the small person to school with the dog in tow and left home after the school run rush.
No traffic or swearing from me this morning!

Busy morning dealing with an unusual rush of stupidity plus putting some 'hard sell' consultant types back in their box. Am rewarding myself for my diligence and bravery on the work front with bacon sarnis for lunch. Yum. Will commute tomorrow to get rid of the calories.

@wakemalcolm - Everyone knows that the best day for smuggling art through both land and sea tunnels is a Tuesday. Why make things difficult for yourself?

P-fairy visitation day, so instead of a pasty in Dawlish Warren, I fought with a stranger's pump (oo-er missus), a 700x40mm gravel tyre that would only just go over the rims, and no way was going to seat properly. I limped home gingerly and had to grease the rims and pump the (max 60psi) tyre up to 90psi to get the beads to pop into place. Grrr.

Not only that, but the 'sunny intervals' turned into 2 minutes of sun and showers the length of the day & evening.

Apart from that, it's been a great day. Well, apart from not feeling too great.

There's always tomorrow...

Nice day of meetings in the office with a free bacon sandwich from the canteen.

Met a pal on the way home for a run and planning for next weeks race (escape from Meriden), meant a late dinner whilst catching up on traitors
