PS make sure you get the granules ! The powdery stuff is prone to overdosing areas. The soluble weed and feed is also good but a bit more expensive. OK for small gardens where you remember it's gone on (I've used it a few times and it's good) Again, though, you'll need to water it in the next day if it's not rained.

Will have a go with the granules and water them in, at least you know where you've been as you say!.

Make sure you water in for a few days if no rain. Not trying to teach you to suck eggs, but it's only because I've made the mistakes  You'll see the weeds wither after 48 hours, then cut a week later. The bonus is that the grass will be a lovely green colour after treatment. Then just occasionally use aftercut feed.

You need a too; similar to this one. Looks like a gadget but gets dandelions roots amd all.

Why bother with all the faffage of gadgets and potions? There's a much better way to get your revenge on excess dandelions.

Eat them.

They make excellent salad leaves, either on their own or mixed in with others. Fry streaky bacon till crispy, break into shards, then pour bacon plus dripping over dandelion leaves, mix well and serve.

Oh, and the roots make a reasonable herbal "coffee" if you're that way inclined.
