Ok, so my last ride out i noted on my garmin head unit my di2 appeared not to be changing into the highest gear without multiple clicks on the shifters (or so i thought). Today i stripped the bike down for a routine clean and to see if i could find the issue. It transpires the gears are shifting correctly (which is a good thing) what is not working correctly is the d-fly unit is taking sometime 10+ seconds to send data to the head unit to tell the garmin i've switched into the highest gear. It only has this issue for this gear which is strange so i'm confident it isn't a connection issue as the D-fly unit hasn't moved and all other gear changes are showing correctly. Anyone else had a similar issue? Just wondering as my D-fly unit is only about 8 months old. (not sure if its a known issue with them i have the non wireless version)

So the gears were shifting but you didn't know it or didn't believe it until the display confirmed it?

I run Dfly but I can't report experiencing this issue.
My immediate guess would concur with your - connection issue. Unplug it and go again, it may be that simple.

Yeah my thoughts to but having completely removed it from the system, then reinstall it still doesn't detect the gear change to the highest gear only. All other gear changes are correct. Very strange something i can live with as at least the groupset is functioning correctly. Although just thinking this issue has only started since i set the gear change on e-tube to semi sync i will put back to default when i have a moment and see if that somehow has caused this strange behaviour.

Never been brave to mess with e-tube settings, yet...

Just a punt, but is the d-fly/head unit configured with the correct cassette teeth and sprocket count?

Yeah definitely configured to correct cassette teeth and sprocket count.

It's really easy to change just plug it into a laptop or connect wirelessly if you have the facilities then follow the step through guide. Can only do the semi sync and fully sync shift modes if you have the newer battery though. I was lucky as my battery died after 8 months and had it replaced under warranty and was supplied the updated battery giving me the opportunity to take advantage of the additional settings.
