Did it have a poncho for a roof?

I ride past The Cat's Back between Putney and Wandsworth Bridges on the South side of the Thames. I often wondered if it was named after the feline's anatomy between its bum and it's neck. Apparently, this Victorian boozer was renamed in the 1990s when a much loved pet returned after a prolonged wander.

There's a place Kyle way called 'The Tingle Creek', more of a hotel than just a pub, apparently the owner won big on a horse of that name, and moved north and opened a hotel on the proceeds

On Margate seafront is a Wetherspoon's called The Mechanical Elephant, after an old tourist attraction from the 30s, iirc.
