60 miler! good going considering the weather and time off the bike due to snow/ice etc.

I've been on nights so did a 20 mile blast on the way in last night, and just the 12 mile on the way home. Hit a pothole and got an instant flat, tyre ok but written off the inner tube.

Oh blimey what a hellish re introduction to cycling... nothing since 27th December apart from turbo spinning boredom..

My bike played up, slipping seat pin, I was knackered after 10 miles, I lost touch with the club ride.... , tipped tea over in the cafe, nearly fell off on the ice several times and only did 35 miles.....

But I did have a chat with some mates I hadn't seen for ages though. Loads of bikes out today on the main roads as the lanes were tricky where the sun hadn't thawed it out yet, black ice everywhere.. fun..

I quite often get days like that!!

I did see quite a few other bikes out, as the weather was gorgeous, and everybody nodded / waved which is very unusual, they must all be glad to get out

Only had time for a half hour spin, enough to check the bike for back to commuting this week hopefully. But boy it was great just getting going again. Bring on the longer nights, will get a chance to put in a few miles after work then - can't wait.

I`m looking forward to the light evenings too, that`s when I do most of my mileage during the summer
