After months of eyeing up the big tool drawer / trolleys the engineers here at work have, and asking questions about price and performance I found my eyes lingering too long on a certain page of a catalogue of special offers from a supplier at lunchtime...

Now I'm looking on ebay for used Snap On tool drawer systems. Utter filth I tells ya... This one looks cleaner though...

Tool lust!

*rubs thighs*

I don't even have a garage or a workshop!

What tools have got you lusty at the moment?

I'm after air tools. Air driver, nibbler, sander etc.
I sleep with a Park Tools pedal spanner under the pillow.
I've carried a swiss army knife for god knows how many years, and I recently 'upgraded' to a leatherman, it's incredibly useful and I use it all the time. So watch out, penknives are gateway drugs.

Prestaflator niiiiiiiice!!!!

It is a bit isn't it; there's just something so incredibly appealing about well machined metal!

I want a King Dick

We have a small machine section at work and the fellow who uses the machines is a precision artist:

I love walking through the part of the factory to see what has been machined.

I don't entirely what know these are but they're beautiful:

Nice workshop, would suit me down to the ground. Colchester centre lathe and a Beavermill Milling machine?
The machined nuts are probably for a machine leadscrew, looks like a trapezoidal thread, so yes the work of a craftsman,an ever diminishing group.
They used to train all mechanical apprentices in these skills, nowadays they do not even teach them how to sharpen a twist drill!!!
