It has been cold this last month here in Scotland. Thinking of switching the central heating on now for the winter! Brrrrrr! Keep hoping September will be warm and dry but doesn't look as though there is much chance of that happening.

A week ago I was enjoying 30C just across the channel in Belgium. Three days ago I was enjoying sun and heat as I celebrated my birthdau with my wife, daughter and grandsons. Today I am listening to the rain lashing against the window as I type this. Still in shorts and t-shirt, windows open and no heating but I'd rather be back in Belgium drinking Belgian beer.

Last weekend was markedly colder in Cumbria and my summer weight sleeping bag only just coped with the temperature drop.

It was still warm enough for a kilt though :-)

BF put our heating on last night, I turned it off again when the house reached gas mark 6 but he sneaked it on again tonight.

Different people have different tolerances to heat and cold.

Some poeple may have underlying health problems that leave them more sensitive to colder conditions.
