Hey, THANKS to all for the good wishes. I'm very fortunate, I'm in an industry that is in demand in my area, so fingers crossed, so long as I apply myself, I should be OK. I know others have been and are in a far less fortunate position than me in terms of professional demand and/or the geographical area where you live. On the positive, as simon_r said, you can cycle more (and run more -I've taken full advantage, both as a reason to get fitter and as a reason for stress release) and already, I think I'm taking the time to eat so much better. I've also got a huge list of things to do around the house I've never had time to do, and am trying to spend some more quality time with the kids. Not all bad.
So.... was on a phone screen interview today, and the interviewer asked: "What are the 3 most important things about the position for you?". Uggghhh...... must.... not..... answer..... bicycle commutable...... (course that's was all I could think about!). Yes, I'll look forward to commuting again soon.
