My turn now, I'm going into hospital tomorrow to have a L4/L5 decompression so maybe out of action for a while.

Worry not! I had that in 2007 and 2 days later walked 2 1/2 miles! They won't let you lie in bed - up, out, moving, home. Shut the door on your way out and don't come back! Sorted me. You will be back on your trike in under a week.

Best wishes NumbNuts, keep us posted on how it went, I have a semi prolapsed disc L4 L5 to the right, had it a year now and still gives me grief. Thinking on what my options are.
