I've seen this done and would do it on my Land Rover 90 wheels but not even consider it on my MTB never mind road rims....it would blow them to bits....may be worth an experiment to see as I have a pair of worn out MTB wheels the hubs are ok.....
but I could blow the rims........In garage tomorrow with ear plugs.....
