In other startling news, someone was reading on a phone and couldn't scroll down to read the article because the pictures were taking an age to load.

Clearly then, someone at the NHF has too much time on their hands.

The interesting bit for me was that prices were higher in National Park than just outside. Now, Assuming 'just outside' means within a mile or two of the boundary, I'm guessing a lot of the cheaper properties still have lovely surroundings. And I don't know, but can there be more planning restrictions etc inside a park? So the real 'not news' is that some people are paying far more than they need to for something that may not be hugely better that they may then be restricted to if they want to extend etc.

Basically, people are stupid. That's not news either!

That's how it works round here. Gosforth is very overpriced for what it is, but sits just on the inside of the Lake District NP. THe prices in Keswick were ridiculous when I looked at a few the other day. Smaller houses than mine in reasonably urban parts of the town were more than double the price I paid for mine 18 months ago and I'm within 2-3 miles of the NP.
