Without wishing to sound too leery, I've always thought the Welsh accent is probably one of the sexiest accents a lady can have.
that depends on which bit of Wales she is from North West Wales to Denbigh areaYes very sexy North east wales from Denbigh to England - Noooooooo.

South Wales Yes but not Swansea or Cardiff.

Wifey is Welsh , she doesn't speak it anymore and has a RP accent . however when she is on way to being pissed or she is tired, or emotional ( watching Wales play Rugby ) the Welsh accent springs into life. so yes i concur.

Have you seen the 'Simply Italian' on Channel 4? Italian cooking with a Welsh accent, which is pretty much my idea of food heaven.

As in Coal ?
I'm not actually sure about the coal mining in the Swansea bay area. They were talking about 'Fracking' there though. Most coal mining was done in the valley's. Before the M4 was finished, we used to drive across from Abergavenny to Merthyr, and down the Heads of the Valley road. I remember seeing pit heads and big slag heaps there, but not further down in the bay whciwas all metal foundry and rolling mills (which my grandfather worked in)

I had a lovely Welsh girlfriend once, with a tattoo of a daffodil on her right buttock... lovely voice, she had too, isn't it?

Loads of Italians in Swansea for some reason..

Lots of Italians settled there after being in PoW camps during the war - for some reason they never went back. Same as Scotland - lots of Italians there too. My dad grew up near an Italian PoW camp, he said they used to ride around the town on bicycles - the authorities were not particularly worried about them escaping...
