I am happy to say I was present for numbers 1, 2, and 3.
I almost missed number 2. I had worked the night and day before the lad made an appearance at just after midnight. I was sent out at one stage and when nursey came to collect me I was sound asleep. She had to go back and ask Mrs Colly what I looked like and what I was wearing.
Simon was in a rush to enter the world and I arrived, bleary eyed, just in time to witness his big entrance.
Tbh I dont recall much about it.

Nope. I'm a stepfather. Thank god.

No, I missed my daughter's birth in 1997 intentionally, agreed to by me and my then wife. She wasn't keen on me being there and neither was I. I got to the hospital as soon as our daughter arrived, helping the nurse to clean up as in mop the floor etc, which was my way of 'being there' I suppose.🤷 My wife's sister's husband filmed his four sons being born, on a video camera. I think there's something slightly creepy about that.🙄 I wonder if they show the videos at family and friends Christmas Day gatherings, after their Christmas dinner?! 🤔 😏
