I recently added this to the Seacroft Wheelers FaceBook page, as it's been in one of my FB (cycling) albums for ages
I first came across Steve Barnes about 1990 -1991, when he was racing Cyclo-Cross, in the colours of Ace Racing Team (seeming the amateur wing of the UK Peugeot team?)




No idea who the 'thorper is in the background


I used to go to Roundhay Park to watch it every so often
I had more hair then, & it was darker......................

This picture is from the early-mid 90's (certainly no later than 1997)

That looks like Thornes Park?

Yes he is a member of KVelo now, he had a bad crash, it was maybe at Roundhay, but it doesn't seem to have put him off.

My daughter has made friends with, amongst her others, a lad at (her) College

A couple of weeks ago, when he was here, he said to me "My dad knows you"
Obviously, it could have been anyone, as I didn't know said lads surname

He told me, I expressed surprise, & showed him a few pictures, of his dad. that I have on an external hard-drive

Including the one above, it's Tonys lad!!

I can't remember him, but I do remember the daughter being on the back of the tandem (maybe with 'kiddie-cranks'???)
