Looks closer to the Mets operation Road Safe than the North Wales operation snap or West Midlands operation close pass, but it's better than what was there before.

A little fanfare at http://road.cc/content/news/217038-...king-run-close-pass-operation-including-leeds - also mentions Devon & Cornwall launching and more considering it.
Aye - I saw that. That West Yorks sent 4/5 officers sounds like a pretty strong level of commitment - good sign  I hope. I believe they're going to trial it on the A660 from town, through Headingley - far and away the city's accident black spot for collisions involving bikes.

Hope they move soon to Dewsbury Road - the operation will pay for itself .

Aye - and it's good to have BOTH the Roadsafe and the West Midlands-type operation.

This is new. Slipped out without fanfare or ... even an announcement as far as I know. But what the heck - it's there. https://www.westyorkshire.police.uk/contact-us/west-yorkshire-cycle-safe

About bloody time ... and it'll be interesting to see how it works out in practice. Especially as they are accepting video evidence.
Video evidence accepted only if you're prepared to hand the camera over to them. Otherwise it'll not be accepted as evidence. Card on it's own isn't good enough.

Where's it say that?
It doesn't, in the same way it the same way it doesn't say they're accepting video evidence.

"Video links" from memory. You could always try force headquarters in Wakefield. And be given the same answer.

Recording system, if portable, has to be checked by them.
