Did the Chris Hoy 'ride it' yesterday and he thoroughly impressed me with his overall niceness. He took a picture of me (well, several of us at the sign in) and my son can tell stories of riding with him for long sections and having lots of chats with him and his team (one of whom fell off and broke his collar bone!)
In the school gym used as the pre and apres-ride HQ, he was happy to pose with pictures with anyone wanting to talk to him and basically thought of himself as being just the same as any rider who'd taken part in the event and sat amongst us all eating pasta and talking over events of the day.
Compare that to the Van Morrison-like behaviour of the other cycling knight of the realm and Chris Hoy wins hands down.
