Okay one for all you brain boxes out there a couple of times this week when I have gone out to the car the external temperature has read 3 degrees c .

So what are the odds of a 3 degrees song being played over the Radio at the same time ?

Oh and i listen to Radio 2

About the same as me trying to remember the square root of two to three decimal places just before quarter past two in the afternoon?

(I have done it a couple of times. The first time made me jump ...)

Dunno, but 3 degrees does trigger a frost warning on a Honda Jazz. You can get into it when it's way below that, but when it warms up it goes ping. Well, thanks for showing me a snowflake!

Well, if I may sully this thread with a serious comment, most people are creatures of habit. You get into your car at the same time of the morning, and tune into the same radio station. The DJ's most likely also a creature of habit, who probably liked the last 3 degrees song they put on, so decided to put on another one.

Of course, it also matters as to whether or not the temperature was three degrees in Celsius, Fahrenheit or Absolute. You'll be able to tell by having to wipe the dew off the car (Celsius), clear the windscreen of snow (Fahreneheit) or dig the car out of the mound of frozen air (Absolute)...

Between 2-4 degrees I hear a ping and the amber warning light comes on in my car. At 1 degree it turns red, minus the accompanying soundtrack

Here's one that happened to me back in the 90's.

A friend and I were going to the cinema to see Dances with Wolves. I was faffing about upstairs and while getting dressed after a shower, decided to listen to a bit of John Lee Hooker, 'The Healer'. But I forgot to start the tape. The doorbell rang, I went down to meet my friend, hopped in his car and as we pulled away, he switched the radio on.....into The Healer on Radio 1:wacko:. Wow....billion to one chance!.

28 years ago about 12 years before I met the Fragrant MrsP, I put an advert in the classified pages of the Stage & Telivison Today newspaper for a four week run, complete with a photo of me.

When I met the Fragrant MrsP some years later, on a visit to her parents house, her mum gave her a box from the loft to take home. In it were nic nacs including four copies of the Stage & Television Today. The very copies that I had placed the adverts.

What are the odds?
