I was a fan or the predecessor, Four Feather Falls and as a teenager, Thunderbirds and all the other puppet shows were often the main topic in the school playground.

The Peter Cook and Dudley Moore copy cat sketch was hilarious.

I think Thunderbirds was an hour long, which as a child affected my concentration span. I preferred the half hour long Stingray and Fireball XL Five. I did see the Thunderbirds film at Accrington Odeon on a Saturday afternoon in 1966, which was quite entertaining, if I remember rightly.🤔

Yes, Happy Birthday to Jeff and the boys. I once went along to a Gerry Anderson sci fi convention held here in Bristol as it was within walking distance of where I was living at the time. Got to meet Matt Zimmerman (Alan Tracy), Shane Rimmer (Scott) & David Graham (Parker/Brains) in one go along with artist Mike Trim, who designed for Anderson and also painted the cover of Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds album (1978)...being geeky, I took my CD set along for him to sign. Also got up close to the (then) newly restored original 44-inch long filming miniature of Eagle 1 from Space 1999. Detail was amazing but you'd not see it all on old TV sets back in the day. 44 inch 3D printed kits are available, I built the MPC 22 inch version:
