Been spinning (literally) some 78s - started with Bill Hayley and Rock around the Clock recorded in 1954 and which was originally intended to be a B side.
With only 30 minutes of studio time left they did the first take direct to a mono tape recorder but Hayley's vocals were too quiet so they did a second take but this time the band was too quiet.
Since the takes were mono they couldn't separate the vocals so a highly skilled engineer physically cut the tapes and spliced them so that the vocal sections were from take 2 and the instrumental middle section was from take 1.
Then played Little Johnny Jones and the Chicago Hound Dogs from 1953, Johnny Jones was an accomplished blues pianist who often played with Muddy Waters and Elmore James, the Chicago Hound Dogs was a studio pseudonym for the players backing Jones who were in fact Elmore James and his backing group.
The A side is a song called Sweet Little Woman with pretty edgy lyrics for 1953!
