Whilst I love music, I am, an absolutely awful singer.

As such, I have to constantly remind myself to only sing to whatever song I'm listening to, when I'm in the car on my own .... and if I do forget at other times, to stop when Mrs TB throws something at my head 😀

See the trouble with me is I love singing karaoke but am awful. Years ago we used to go drinking at secret* Chinese karaoke bars. There you get a room to yourselves so can embarrass yourself in private lol

*By secret I mean illegal, often in old office buildings you had to know they were there to get in, and they probably other more illicit activities going on 🛌💊

Bad at:

DIY.

Art - I'm that bad, a teacher stood behind me laughing at some drawing I was attempting to do as a kid.

In fact anything practical.

No interest in any reality tv or any of the minor celebrities it creates.

You must be my double @Supersuperleeds, those are the exact same things I am very bad at! Anything more involved than changing a light bulb or plug top is totally beyond me. Ashamed to admit this at 71 years old!

Devotee of OCD
Technology. I’m ok if it’s got a plug on it and requires manual skill or dexterity. But if it’s got a plug and a microchip etc I’m boll#*ed.

Because of that I actively avoid such Tech. It just ends up making me angry mostly…..

Anything that requires creativity.

My wife makes all sorts of fancy birthday cards (good enough that people asked for them and pay!) So she feels that me giving her a shop bought card isn't as nice as making her one but a) I'm very bad/clumsy at it and b) it really stresses me and can take me hours for a single card.

Singing

I've been thrown off karaoke and even barred before, not from the pub mind just the karaoke. Imagine the worst x factor audition crossed with the sound of a mating rhino and that's what I sound like lol

Me to

I have no sense of tone - I can tell if something is off key but whether it is high or low is beyond me
and no sense of rhythm

and have little if any control over the sound of my voice other than volume

not a great set up for singing

My wife however has perfect pitch
only heard her sing once - they was a Karaoke at her aunts 80th birthday and someone was annoying her by doing a few songs badly but acting like she was wonderful
so my wife got up and did it properly and just stunned everyone - then just sat down and behaved as if nothing had happened

I do wish she would join a singing group of something
but that is literally the only time I have heard her sing properly in the about 12 years I have known her!

Ha ha!

I was just out walking with my sister and her dog. We were talking about how some people are practical, and some are definitely not. I might possibly have mentioned how somebody once took his bike to Leeds to get a tricky puncture fixed...
