We were to have a German couple coming to stay with us but the wife phoned to say they can't make it now. He's as bald as a coot, so I was going to call him Herr Loss. Shame, I'll have to save the gag till next time.

I'm going to use that. My German friend always makes a big effort to see me, often moving mountains in order so to do. Herr Culean is his name - wonder if your Herr and my Herr have met at Cologne zoo before, in the aquarium at feeding time? Stifling place apparently...Herr met tickly seals.

Working Tues, Wed and Fri. Mostly doing paperwork today but plan to cut the grass before it rains. Going to collect a dress I had a shop order in for me for a night out on Saturday which I am actually not really looking forward to. Will try to get out on the bike Thursday and the weekend. All in all, nothing very exciting.

Tonight is cutting rest of grass and making tomato chutney night. Tomorrow is sorting out the clothing mountain that has accumulated in the last couple of weeks due to excessive cycling and not having time to put clean washing away. Wednesday is a smidge of hoovering (as little as I can get away with). Thursday is...... absolutely nothing..... except finish jigsaw, lounge on bean bag and read - after a lie-in

Working my butt off trying to get upto date for Friday and budgets set up. Might sneek a couple of long 20 miler commutes home if the weather holds up.

Next week I shall be 'out of it' on Monday afternoon (surgery) then sat on the sofa feeling sorry for myself for the next few weeks. Won't be allowed to ride the bike. (Flipping smileys won't insert in the correct place !) <<Crying>>
