Go on, tilt your head!
I'm going to attempt the fitting of my new Crud road race guards... I could be some time!

I plan to chill tomorrow, and then go for a cheeky 8/9 mile run on Sunday as its the last weekend before the GSR on the 28th.... Getting nervous now!

Sunday. Converting scanned bitmap images into vector format line drawings suitable for use with a laser cutter to make balsa wing ribs for the winter's model building season.

What are you building? I have a hankering to build another largish 1/4 or 1/5 scale glider.

Saturday morning - first ride on new bike:smile:

Saturday afternoon - taking my girlfriend's son to his first football game (Birmingham vs Leicester - we'll be in the away end) and meeting my son there.

Saturday eve - a few pints down the local with son.

Sunday - another ride on new bike, (assuming nothing needs fettling - if it does, fettling new bike) followed by the last gardening session of the year.

Meeting son number 3 for lunch tomorrow. Then home to cook tea for my lovely wife and step son and his family (as my wife is at work in the morning.
Sunday nothing! No Fettling (4 temporarily redundant bicycles) and no cycling...... Tuesday ultrasound of dodgy shoulder and then hopefully only a short wait before the medics patch me up enough to get back to fettling and cycling.

A 1/6 scale 44" span 1cc diesel powered free flight Flying Flea and possibly a nine foot span free flight Mick Smith Mercury. I have access to a laser cutter so I want to remove the drudgery of hand cutting out the ribs and formers if I can.

Do you commute as well? Sounds like a good training run.

Yes - I do a 10+ mile each way run from Dewsbury-Leeds on 4 out of 5 days. That's usually fast but not fun as it's almost all on 40/70 mph dual-carriageway.

The Saturday run seems to work; it's Dewsbury-Huddersfield-Holmfirth on main roads, but there's bike lanes for much of it. Then through Holmfirth, up Holme Moss on the steep side and across Woodhead Pass towards Barnsley to where it meets the TransPennine Trail (about 2 miles). After that, up through Townhead, Carlecotes to Royd Moor on some fast quiet back roads but with 2-3 good climbs. Up to Royd Moor, Windmill Nurseries cafe, then through to Emley mast on the back roads, down to Horbury Bridge and home. A slightly shortened version is here: http://app.strava.com/rides/22762066

It's about 57 miles, which I add/change bits as needed. Much of it's on quiet roads or cycle lanes so is a nice 3-4 hour run with a cafe that's popular with cyclists.
