Massive amounts of recreational drugs, obviously; early ride this morning, we're at home to Writing...I mean Reading this avvy, then it's a night out on the light ales and a long ride on the bicycle tomorrow.

Just done about 3 hours painting 'fancy' roof facias. Fortunately they aren't fitted yet, so working at ground level.

Update: Bromptonfb and a pal are riding over tomorrow afternoon and I am going to walk into the town centre to meet them. They are going to have a pint (or two? ) each and I will have a coffee. It is nice to be out and about again, even if it is only for an hour at a time.

Small boy is 9 this weekend, so we've got a house full of 8 & 9 year old boys. Will probably take some of them out for a bike ride tomorrow.

PS I'd been feeling sorry for myself before I got seriously ill but I found that my near-death experience was enough to convince me that there is still a lot that I want to do and I'm not quite ready to give up yet!

I did this the other night and got £100 cashback when I signed up to npower via topcashback.co.uk.

I've had a nice quiet weekend so far and it makes change from the last two where I barely got a minute to myself. The morning was spent doing housework and I had a nice hour of acupuncture in the afternoon. A chicken is roasting in the oven and I'm about to pour myself a large gin and see what crap is on the telly.

Not sure what tomorrow's plans are but I'm thinking about riding to Twickenham via Richmond Park if the weather stays dry.

Aaargh - it's a pity I missed this.

I was through Hebden at 3pm and again at 4pm collecting the tow bar rack. I'd have popped in with my youngest.
