Covid isolation means I'll mainly be alone on Christmas and Boxing Day. The family Christmas is cancelled till Tuesday. I'll be alone because my wife will visit my son who is vulnerable and would otherwise be alone. No sympathy please, it's fine.

I'll take the chance to enjoy a very good red I have stashed away, just gently though the day from lunchtime. I've also a reasonable Armagnac which will get an airing in the early evening.

The wine I selected for Christmas will wait till everyone arrives on Tuesday.

We used to drink that as a pint of black death in the Robinson's pub in the centre of Preston, half a Guinness with half an Old Tom. 🍻

10 years ago it would have been 2/3 pint of Asda’s own Baileys topped up with 1/3 pint of milk. Having been T Total for 9 years now it will be orange juice today.
