Time travel meets motor racing. Could only be me that comes up with a concept this daft, I guess...

4 way shootout. Senna, HAM, Schui and VER all having one race in each of the others title winning cars.

Or all the greats on one grid

But you have to throw Lauda , Piquet and Hunt into this mix surely in order to get the full clash of personalities. ^_^ Oh, hold on, sounds a lot like the old Grand Prix Masters series...

As far as editing is concerned, there's a real satisfaction in finding the right word or phrase to illustrate a concept, isn't there? It's weirdly addictive in a way...

I've been trying to double down on my editing skills. In fact, I try to get it Right The First Time if I can help it. I feel like Grammarly is helping me but writing still needs that human touch.

I used to be bad at grammar. I slack on forums and text messaging but try to get a little bit more serious with my writing, since most of the time, it results in a payment

Guess I was very fortunate in having excellent English teachers in prep school, and we were pulled up on grammar and spelling in other subjects too. I guess that sort of thing stays with you...

Also, English is only my third language, btw.

I’ve been getting into cooking lately, mainly because it fits around rides and doesn’t drain the wallet like some past hobbies have. Curious how everyone else balances time and money between cycling and other interests. Anyone picked up something new recently that stuck?

I juggle a few hobbies, but I usually rotate them so they don’t drain my time or cash all at once. Cycling stays constant, and the rest get attention when life allows.

Same here but all that means is that I'm mediocre at many things and not actually any good at any of them. Keeps my ADHD under control I suppose 🤷‍♂️

I have a few other interests, not sure if they're hobbies, as I'm not constantly at them/own the relevant items

MileStones
Pack-Horse bridges
Heavy haulage
Railways
Land-Rovers*
Gretsch guitars** (not allowed to buy one)
TVRs (driven a few, but like LRs, can't justify owning one)
Industrial heritage
Art-Deco (primarily the architecture)

Quite varied musical tastes

* Series & Defenders, to the end of production in 2015
Range-Rovers, 1970 - 2012 (the end of the 'series 3'/L322)
101FC
Discovery, up to the '4'

** the semi-acoustics, as played by the likes of Brian Setzer/Chet Atkins

I like building Lego models, doing word puzzles and baking. I’m also into amateur radio. I’ve passed my Foundation License. I’ll be studying for the Intermediate License soon.
My cycling doesn’t cost too much, as I have old bikes. I just replace worn out parts as needed. I build wheels and do my own maintenance.
Just as well, really. There aren’t any bike shops where I live.
