Well, write it down boy ......
I'm currently reading River Kings by Cat Jarman. It's about Vikings and their spread. I find it staggering in what can be deduced nowadays at archaeological sites. When I was about 10 I wanted to become an archaeologist and sometimes wonder how it would have panned out. I certainly find the scientific side of it fascinating.

What about the other one.......................Rumour has it that Douglas was actually thinking about a 6th before his untimely demise

5th book is 'Mostly Harmless' but there are ideas in his 8th book which was almost a 'Dirk Gently's holistic detective agency' that Douglas said was almost book 6 of the 'Hitch hikers' guide.............this was unfinished but he had a bunch of ideas on his computer that others assembled, can't find it now but I think it was provisionally titled 'The Salmon of Doubt'

Agricola and Germania by Tacitus.

A great read if you are in to Roman History. It’s about the Roman conquest of Scotland and a description of the peoples of Germany in Roman times.

I have a liking for Frank Gardners M16 fiction books but the latest Invasion has baffled me. The story primarily surrounds a MI6 agent going missing in China and two MI6 officers being sent to find her. Meanwhile in London the Chinese secret service have hacked the phone of the officers prinicpal contact back at Vauxhall Cross. The two officers then get a message claiming to be from their contact to meet someone, that leads them into the hands of Chinese Triads who have the agent and are wanting to sell her to the highest bidder, which may or may not be the Chinese secret service. The message doesn't seem to make sense other than being a way of tying the story together.
