and sitka spruce plantations , getting lungfuls of that great air, miles of space and avoiding the logging/quarry artics zooming down the roads and wild swimming (boy I do love a swim, especially after a long hot sweaty day in the saddle)Christopher

Haven't really got a good bike for touring at the moment, perhaps beam rack with stuffsack bungeed to it and travel light. I could get a rack on the fixed, but I don't fancy the descents. F*** it, got me thinking about it anyway. Good thread.

I've got a few sportives in mind, Chesh Cat, one up Bolton Way, Cycle Chat rides..., and few club 10's this year. May even join a club again.
