Baggy has just reminded me that a Holme Moss by moonlight ride would be good as it never got off the ground last year.

How long/hard is it?

Route?

Can anyone play?

Ah, are you planning to set up your tent on the verge outside the Highland park distillery then?

Mind you, the day I cycled when I was up there, the headwind (for all but 500yards of a circular ride) meant I could probably have taken three weeks to do 50 miles....

Only if they have a decent shower and toilet block.

Just realised that its not going to be as good as France because there will be a distinct lack of cake.

Anyone can play

Unless your name is Hilldodger

You lot are very organised. I haven't given it much thought yet. I'd like to do a LEJoG but I may not be able to due to Mrs 26x25's commitments.

What I will be doing for sure is getting lots of rides in whenever I can.

any date for this yet Mr L?

for the OP, am planning some roughstuff touring in the Scottish Borders, wild camping where possible viz. away from camping neds  and sitka spruce plantations , getting lungfuls of that great air, miles of space and avoiding the logging/quarry artics zooming down the roads  and wild swimming (boy I do love a swim, especially after a long hot sweaty day in the saddle)

Don't know yet. Might just ride from home, go across to Wales, ride around a bit and then ride home. I'll plan when to go and do the rest of the planning as I go, depending on how I feel.

Haven't really got a good bike for touring at the moment, perhaps beam rack with stuffsack bungeed to it and travel light. I could get a rack on the fixed, but I don't fancy the descents. F*** it, got me thinking about it anyway. Good thread.

Plus maybe this summer I'll do another short off-road tour on the 'cross bike. Nice that is.

I've got a few sportives in mind, Chesh Cat, one up Bolton Way, Cycle Chat rides..., and few club 10's this year. May even join a club again.
