Right i have saved my pennies throughout the year to upgrade from my carerra tdf. Had some good times on the carerra but do find the crank setup to be hard to climb hills. I have around £500-£600 what do you recomend??

One of these offers about the best bang for buck right now

Possibly with a changed cassette at the back if those Norfolk hills are too hard

What's the gearing on the current bike?

You can always change the rear cassette. 50-34 at the front gives you plenty

The bike will be at least 2kg lighter too

If you're worried about gearing how about this Ridgeback with a triple: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/ridgeback/advance-40-2014-road-bike-ec059658 good price too.

Halfords are doing a cracking deal on Boardman's at the moment (until tomorrow). If you do some sleuthing, and get a code from the interweb, you'll save even more, add a quidco, and British cycling membership discount, and they will be practically paying you to have the bike off them.

The other one is a better deal, 105 groupset with slicker change and routed cables, expect the frame the same however. Zaffiro tyres get mixed opinions

IU'd say if you have £600, then spending the extra £100 would be worth it

@Drago is a Felt man

You can get better tyres for a tenner a piece (may want to spend more if commuting) - although the tyres on the F75 are superior to the F85 so you wouldn't need to anyhow. I'd rather find another £50 for incidentals than compromise on the bike (also the F75 is only available in most sizes in black  )

A question - are you confident of buying the right and right size bike online? If not, you'll need to start visiting your local shops. There are some good deals on Boardman from Halfords for example, especially if a British Cycling member
