hi all experts out there
I am looking for a new bike and would appreciate a bit of advice as I'm getting confused with technical specs.
Essentially I commute 30 mins each way to work (in Bristol so quite a few hills...!), weekend cycle paths and rarely off road. I'm thinking I need either a flat bar road bike with decent forks/tyres or a decent lightweight hybrid.
I qualify for the bike to work scheme so some limitations in terms of purchase power.
I think I've narrowed it down to a choice of two or three from reading reviews and have considered things like carbon forks, weight and gears.
Btwin triban 520 - decathlon, no btw scheme but only £380.
Hoy Shizuoka 003 - £750 but much less with bike to work. ? Style over substance?
Cannondale quick - £799, less on btw.
Ideally I'd like to spend as little as possible but don't want to sacrifice quality/decent spec for the sake of a couple of hundred pounds but equally don't want to be over sold something I don't need. I'm leaning toward the Hoy Shizuoka but open to other suggestions.
Thanks for your help
Niki
