No, it's not - that's another bit of beef to take up with them if that doesnt sort itself, but at least I am having 28Meg downloads instead of 0.9...

You're not using the ultra unstable virgin media superhub are you? I recommend tweaking the settings or using something else.

Ahh yes I am mate, I do sometimes have to reboot it as it gets sluggish, any ideas?

You could put it in bridge mode. When I first got mine it was all over the place. It'd get the full 10Mbs and then go down to about half a meg and back up again. I'd recommend using 5GHz if you can. Have a play around. Note down the best settings as the damn thing will reboot and you'll lose the settings.

We're 8km from the exchange, so we were on 0.5mbps until the end of last year. Then we switched to cable and things improved... by a factor of 100!

That's just run with the AV turned on and both kids using computers, so I'm pretty sure it would hit the 50mbps quoted speed without a problem.

That figure should also double soon, I think we're due to go to 120mbps. Which is nice.
Looks like our doubling has just happened...

And, as well as the 102.76mb/s, check out the 10ms ping!!! That should help defeating the bad boys in Battlefield3.

Looks like upgrade part 1. I got my download doubling weeks ago now, but the upload isn't scheduled to be completed till 'September'. Might be waiting a few weeks for the upload.

And these are considered good over here!
It is the only service our ISP offers, we should be getting 20 Mb/s...

Yeah, it was due for, IIRC, some time in May but I hadn't checked in a while. D/L should be upped to 120 in Sept, nor sure about upload speeds.

Same here. They've moved the schedules several times though. My upload is stuck on 1.13Mbs 'testing', however it's vastly more stable than the upload ever was before which makes Skype run a lot better even if it is 'officially' at more or less the same speed. Be interesting what it's like with 2Mbs. My mates Skype doesn't run much better on an upload of 15Mbs though.

BT Infinity is only fibre to the exchange, it lacks the capacity to ultimately be as quick as full fibre services.
Im with virgin media 50 meg jobby which is quick enough for me, I could in fact be quite hapoy with less bandwidth, im not a game player
